DIY Cell Phone Charger Cup

A simple but unique way to keep your charger cords up and off your counters and floors while charging your cell phone and/or ipod. A way to reduce, reuse and recycle a plastic bottle.
These Cell Phone Charger Cups are the coolest, most useful, easy projects that are very popular with our guest in our home.

The conversation always starts off with, "what is that?" lol. Once our guest figures it out they light up with a look of "That is Genius!" Of course I agree with them and not because I am full of myself and my great little charger cup hanging on my wall, but rather because IT IS genius! I always end up giving my cup away knowing I can always make another one! The wonderfully creative lady that came up with this neat idea can be found at Make it and Love it where you can find the complete tutorial on how to make one yourself.

I used a Dial Body Wash pump bottle the kind you find at Sams Club, they are a little bigger in diameter than the lotion bottles used in the tutorial. I also used scrapbook paper on this cup because the paper matched that Old World feel  I was going for. The paper was a little tricky until it completely dried, I have also used fabric which turns out a bit nicer in my opinon.

You can go one step further and decorate the front with a  fabric flower creating a vintage shabby look.
If you decide make one too share yours, I would love to see how it turns out! (8

Mini Baby Minky Lovey Blanket

Minky's are mini, soft, lush, blankie squares usually made from Minky fabric for babies and toddlers alike. It is a quick go to not a replacement for a full size baby blanket, but rather a quick on the go security blanket.

Here is the version I made for Kylee my 5 month old niece. It has Minky fabric on one side and soft fluffy flannel on the other side.

I love personalizing them with a quick initial applique. These are a great beginner sewing project and make cute baby shower gifts.

ENJOY!
